What It Is and Why a Reading Comes First

Sour jar work is often misunderstood. People hear the name and assume it is about anger, revenge, or acting on impulse. That is not how I approach this work at all.

At Nette’s Roots, a sour jar is a protective and corrective spiritual working, not an emotional reaction. It is used only when someone has caused real spiritual harm, crossed serious boundaries, or continues to interfere with your peace, safety, or stability. Because this type of work has weight and consequences, I do not offer it casually and I do not accept every request.

That is why every sour jar begins with a Sour Jar Permission Reading.

Why I Require a Reading First

Before I agree to help, I read the situation to determine whether the work is justified and appropriate. Not every painful situation calls for sour jar work. Sometimes the lesson is separation, protection, or letting something dissolve on its own. Acting from anger or hurt alone can backfire, drain your energy, or keep you spiritually tied to someone longer than necessary.

The Sour Jar Work Tiers

Tier 1 Guided Self Work

This tier is for those who are confident, grounded, and able to carry out the work on their own. After approval, you receive clear guidance and instructions so you can complete the work yourself in your own space. There is no live session and no follow up readings included. This option is best for people who are emotionally steady and able to follow direction without rushing or reacting. The work is done by you and not kept in my home.

Tier 2 Live Guidance

This tier is for those who want support and structure while completing the work. After approval, we meet live on Zoom and go through the process step by step together. You are still performing the work, but I guide you to ensure it is done correctly and intentionally. This tier includes three follow up readings to check the energy and movement of the work. It is ideal if you want accountability, reassurance, and a steady approach.

Tier 3 Full Support

This tier is reserved for more serious or ongoing situations. It includes everything in Tier 2 plus five total follow up readings to monitor the work over time. These check ins help assess shifts, resistance, and whether closure has truly been reached. This option is recommended only when the situation is layered and requires sustained awareness. As with all tiers, the work is performed by you and never stored in my home.

A Final Note on Discernment

Sour jar work is not for moments of jealousy, rejection, or hurt feelings. It is not meant to punish someone for choosing differently or leaving a situation. I work in layers and with intention because this work does work. When it is done correctly, it creates movement. That is why I take my time, require a reading, and make sure each person is truly ready.
